I am extremely lucky to have a "handy" husband. OK so he more than handy, he is a true craftsman. He learned about woodworking from his father and grandfather, then went to college to become a Technology teacher. Now he teaches 8th graders and college students how to make things. What the kids come out with is just amazing. From the big projects like, tables, wall shelves, rocking chairs, magazine racks, Adirondack chairs, a wooden surfboard, even a bed to small projects like jewelry boxes, wooden clocks, cutting boards, he makes sure that each kid can be proud of what they made. Now that I am done bragging about my husband, (OK not totally done) something that was really important to him was being able to design and build a cradle for the baby. I must say, it came out beautiful! he also built the changing table/dresser, and his father built a crib. Words can not express how special it is to have a legacy and heirloom to pass down to our children one day. Now... pictures.
