She is a very pretty dog with an adorable face, that is why my husband has nicknamed her "The Pretty" Seriously, look at her.... she is so gosh darn cute.
She is the first dog I have ever had, and most likely the last. She is such a good dog that Nick says we aren't ever going to get another one because she has spoiled us. She is a rescue puppy that we got from Eleventh Hour Rescue, and she is originally from Kentucky. She is part beagle, and we think she is part lab. Everyone comments on how her coloring isn't very beagle, so I submit this photo of her and her siblings as evidence since you can't hear her howl.
As she has gotten used to living with us, she has developed a watch dog mentality. She sits on her table outside, and watches the world go by, occasionally growling and howling based on who she sees.
Now that is it is colder she has taken up residence on the back of the sofa to make sure she doesn't miss anything. About 2 weeks after we got her, Whitney and I shared a very important moment. She was the only one home when I took my pregnancy test. Of course it was positive. Nick has always said... Watch, we will get a dog, and you will get pregnant. I looked at the plus sign, panicked a little and looked at her. I asked her what the heck I was supposed to do with her now. She turned her head, almost smiled and proceeded to lick my face. And there was my answer. She is the best dog in the world and for at least another 3 months... our only baby.
So sweet. She really is a beautiful dog!
